I believe that the current issues over same sex marriage and gay rights are ridiculous. If we can't trust people with their own relationships, how are we supposed to trust them with anything? We need to allow people to manage their own personal lives. Many people who are against gay rights have a morphed idea of rights. Everyone needs to have the option to lead the life they want, and its not the governments place to decide who people can and cannot marry. Everyone is human, and we should treat them as such. For people to put their own beliefs before someone else's happiness is immoral.

The government has finally come around and given rights to people in the LGBTQ  community, and everyone needs to recognize this. Individual states should conform to the federal ruling, because our nation needs to be unified. We shouldn't have specific states where these people are not welcome for who they are. Although peoples personal beliefs are important, those beliefs should be maintained. The people in the LGBTQ community have been fighting a hard battle for equal rights, and the Supreme Court ruling of gay marriage was a big step. Why would anyone back track and choose to go against such a momentous movement?

I believe the county clerk in the Kentucky incident involving gay marriage is ludicrous. It is her job to help these people coming in wether or not she has objections about their marriage. If she cannot do her job and give these people the licenses they need, she should be fired. She needs to keep her beliefs out of her work. These people are human, and they deserve just as much as everyone else. Their preferences are no ones business, other than their own. It is not anyones place to tell them what they can or cannot do.
