Car Accident

On October 7 at 4:45 two vehicles collided in a head on collision at the First Street and Slaughter intersection. Roger Clementine had been driving and hit John Jacob Jingleheimer-Smith and his wife Melba.

"This was one of the only head on collisions in this intersection." said police officer Jacob Hansen.

Rodger Clementine was driving without a license and hadn't had any experience driving before.

"I had never driven before," said Clementine "but I wanted to see what it was like even though I didn't have a license"

The driver John Jacob Jingleheimer-Smith struggled to avoid the oncoming car.

"The car came out of no where," stated Jingleheimer-Smith "I didn't even see him."

Jingleheimer-Smith and his wife were taken to the hospital; Jingleheimer-Smith had a serious head injury.

"The doctors think he might have fractured his skull." said Jingleheimer-Smith's wife Melba.

The young Roger Clementine (13) was cited for driving without a license, speeding, and for driving in the wrong lane.

"Im surprised such a young kid would even attempt to drive," Said officer Jacob Hansen "and to cause damage like this none the less."

Roger Clementine has shown no remorse so far for his irresponsible actions.

"I don't really care what people say about me," said Clementine "It happened, people need to move on already."

Clementine's punishment will be spending 5 months in a juvenile detention facility.

"The kid's lucky to get away with just 5 months," said officer Jacob Hancock "he got off easier than i would have thought."
