Huntington Story

On October 19, 2015 Janis Jones was shot in the leg while in her car, after her dog knocked over the handgun causing it to go off.

Jones was taken to the hospital, and her dog was taken to animal control. The police involved in the case are still determining if Jones should be charged in relation to the gun accident, due to it being unlicensed.

"It could have been worse",  officer Rye said, "The bullet hit two inches from the gas tank."

Jones' dog, now in animal control, is seemingly malnourished and possibly abused. The animal control office could possibly be charging Jones for animal abuse.

"[Jones' dog] could have done with a little less abuse and a few more of those pork chops.", Janet Ngo, an animal control officer on the case, stated.
